The flexibility of D-Six software, when combined with imbedded features and tools, can support applications for a wide range of simulation applications.
Engineering Simulation Development and Analysis
Because of the ease of importing, replacing and editing the simulation models, D-Six provides a uniquely flexible environment to support simulation database development. Preliminary estimates of aerodynamic data may be rapidly hosted, and using the interface with MATLAB, candidate
flight control systems may be evaluated interactively with database changes. As the simulation evolves with increased data and functionality, D-Six will continue to support its needs.

Flying Qualities Assessment
Develop a pre-prototype simulation of a new aircraft configuration using wind-tunnel data and/or computational data then fly the model in real-time. Perform flight test-maneuvers to assess the vehicle flying qualities.
Wright Flyer Application
Flight Data Visualization and Analysis
Visualize flights by loading flight data and driving D-Six graphics model. Use plotting and manipulation tools to analyze flight events and prepare it for use in validation efforts.
F-18 Navy Test Station Application
Flight Test Simulation Support
With its integrated flight test importation, analysis and visualization tools, D-Six can provide a variety of flight test and simulation support activities. Real time database re-alignment with flight test results yields the highest fidelity simulation in support of flight test
activities.

Large Scale (Trainer) Simulation Support
The support, update and modification of the flight model and flight control system of a large scale fixed based simulation is complicated by the difficulty of moving very specifically formatted data and code in an environment that is typically difficult to reconfigure. Further, using
the complete trainer for developing and evaluating the flight model component can limit access to the trainer hardware for ongoing training operations or other hardware development. D-Six, using the Aeroport tool to expedite the importation of legacy models, as well as its code
generation capabilities, can provide an easy to use flight model gateway between large scale hardware in the loop simulation environments and engineering applications. In this manner, evaluation of new model configurations, manipulation of data, validation with flight data, etc., can be
accomplished off-line, and any model updates rapidly propagated to the hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation. Host simulator math models and execute Realtime or non-real-time simulation sessions and evaluate model fidelity prior to simulator hardware integration. Load flight data for direct
comparison with simulation results.

Large Scale Simulation Flight Model Host
Using a P.C. based shared memory interface, the operational performance accessible with D-Six makes it a viable manned simulation flight model host with an unprecedented price/performance capability. As in the case described above, D-Six enables a real time simulation environment
distinct in its available flexibility and reconfigurability.

Hardware in the Loop Development Support
Use D-Six to host a flight model and interface with flight hardware like mission computers, flight control computers, or pilot input devices. With available Ethernet, VME and 1553 bus connectivity, D-Six can provide a low cost solution for the hardware engineer when a high fidelity
simulation is needed to interface with flight hardware or avionics. With full screen out-the-window graphics, a cost-efficient real-time lab station is a reality.

Low Cost Piloted Simulation
The rapid pace of P.C. based graphics and hardware applications enables the assembling a low cost high fidelity real time piloted simulation. These can range from a simple out-the-window graphics with a game joystick input to a head mounted displays combined with a digital, loaded
sick, to a full multi-channel display and cockpit, all possible at a fraction of the cost typically associated with systems such as these.
MATV Piloted Simulation Application
Networked Piloted Simulation
When D-Sixs reconfigurability is combined with the available multi-station networking capability, the possible training and tactical analysis applications are unique. The use of several low cost re-configurable simulation stations can support a variety of tactical training and
analysis scenarios, either in their own local network, or combined with larger scale exercises using available third party DIS connectivity.
Multi UCAV application
UCAV/UAV Mission Rehearsal
With several workstations running the D-Six simulation environment with its network interface module, users may host and run manned or unmanned multi-vehicle simulation scenarios.
