Real Time Instrumentation Development Interface

D-Six provides a module that allows users to build their own instrument displays using a simple scripting language. This tool lets the user control the actions of foreground and background bitmap images, allowing the user to build a wide variety of dial, slider, switches and light
actions. The bitmaps can be developed in any graphic illustration package, or can come from actual digital photos of the displays themselves. The user can then add a bitmap of a moving element, such as a needle, and scale a rotation and/or translation action for that bitmap to a D-Six
variable. The connection to the instrument command is made in the IOD interface, allowing the user to graphically map and edit the connections to the instrument variables. Further, the displays can also assume a switch function that allows the user to set, via mouse click or touch
sensitive screen press, a new state variable as defined in the Event component of the IOD interface.
